Good News and Additional Tools

I've added some new tools to site today. Just added a guest map, so you can all post where in the world your from and trying to add a guestbook.

Its Sunday morning and its been nearly a week since my last blog. Been a busy and stressful week, but a ultimately a good one. I'm waiting for an operation to replace my artificial hip, which I had fitted when young after a motorbike accident. But a couple of months ago my pre operation ECG test showed up a abnormality with my heart. So I've been worrying for 2 months waiting for ultra-sound tests and this week I had them. Turns out all is normal and the ECG frequently gives these results on people with a slim build. Just wish my GP had mentioned this. Anyway here's a photo of late afternoon sun behind a tree in our garden and candles burning on valentines night.

Sunset

Spent the end of the afternoon and early evening taking photo's of Battersea power station and the river Thames. Had ideas that involved a beautiful sunset setting behind the power station, unfortunately it was cloudy, cold and drizzled with rain all the time. I stayed and persisted, but not sure what the results will be like. Took my tripod with me though and did my first night shots, but spent most of my time either trying to shade lens from the rain or wiping it off the lens. Anyway here's a couple of a better sunset.

Just developed another set of photographs after my artistic weekend. Really quite pleased with them, as some are a bit more gritty and urban than my usual style. Been looking at a lot of photography on other web blogs and some are just so stunning and inspiring. Anyway here are the first from the film. Trying to pick a selection that match and go together, these are Maria (my small Spanish girlfriend) taken in Raynes Park Station.

Lines To Nowhere

It's the weekend at last. Looks cold and cloudy outside this morning. Had hoped to take a walk up to the common this afternoon and get a few shots over the ponds as the sun set, but with the heavy clouds may not happen. Still have paintings to finish and have a couple of lost episodes to watch, may just have a lazy one today.

Its Friday and the weekend is nearly here. Been working from home today, which has been nice. The garden is starting to look green, the sun has been shining all day, birds have been coming to the feeders and singing away and now I'm looking out at a beautiful sunset. What could be better.

Been A While

Sorry its been a while since I've last updated blog. Had all these ideas of updating every day or two, but due to a massive computer crash its taken a couple of weeks to get things together again. Now I've a selection of my old photographs scanned and more recent ones that I've had developed. Also been working on another couple of paintings, which hopefully I'll have completed by the weekend.

Still haven't had the time to scan 35mm pictures, so fast running out of photos to post. Worked from home today which was nice and much more effective, without constant disturbances. Given me time to think about ideas for the painting I want to do this weekend. May even choice a different selection of colours, as you all must be thinking I only own red and yellow.
